I have a four year old mare who is a good 15.2 and still growing! she's always been a slow one, still like an inch higher behind than in front, and still pretty slender. She is by Black Robbie ( Hodgson Lane Prince2 / Wheatside Perfection 3) out of Copleylane Ruby (Lowside Noble John/ Sweet Heart) anybody know if these lines run big? also does anyone know much about Noble John? i've never heard of him. here's a pic of her from this summer.

Sweet Heart is still alive and in 2008 she had a colt foal (Vindomora Sweet William) by Norma Thompson's stallion Waterside William II.
Norma posts on here as Manorian. It may be worthwhile sending her a pm as she will probably know the mare and her owner (Mrs McGinley.
She may know if Sweet Heart is a big mare, or throws big stock?

Harley is a big one too, he is by Moorend Jock who has Lummas ponies in his lines and I believe they are known to be bigger ponies.

Can't add anything useful to the breeding info - but just wanted to say....what a lovely mare! She may be tall, but she's very pretty! I like her a lot. She's going to be even more stunning when she's mature.

Also will add, if you are based in the US, we oftentimes end up with larger sized dales ponies do the different forages/grains fed here. As for the upwards growth, they continue to grow slowly but steadily upwards for several years, and then begins the widening growth My Blossom's only 13.1 but then she's out of a small mare and sire. Blossom's five this past May and she's started to grow outwards now. Her withers are fairly even with her hip now.

Val James has a 16hh+ gelding (Ebony), I'll check out his breeding.
Also Maggie has a big mare (Su) but I can't remember how she's bred either!
Lovely pics btw!

I think Pearl looks fantastic! I know the breed states certain heights etc but I personally prefer the slightly larger horse (could be I am slightly larger as well lol) she is a beautiful horse...

She really is beautiful, just my type of pony to ride. It looks like she's still got quite a bit of growing to do. Both harvey and Frankie are big boys - Harvey is just over 15hh and Frankie around 15.2hh. They both have Burdon Freestep in their pedigree (Hodgson Lane Prince 2's sire). But I expect this is just coincidence and big ponies get thrown up in most lines from time to time with there being such a small gene pool.

The Copleylane ponies are bred by Mrs Forster in Northumberland/County Durham - not sure which. The area rep for this area could maybe put you in touch? That's Norma again Mrs Forster also owns the stallion Lowside Noble John. He's a brown boy and has sired 25 foals - 11 blacks and 14 brown/bays. (Isn't Grassroots marvellous )
