How far did you get with him when you rode him? he's been very good so far but knowing him if you push him to much he may explode, If you wanna pop round and have a another go for old times sake im sure Delia wont mind, Next open day watch this space . . . .

I just rode him on the lunge, then he went to Julia Spacey who hacked him out(I can't remember what Julias surname is now) As for riding him again... do I look MAD? ? no thankyou! I'm an old lady now and frankly if it went wrong I woudn't bounce and roll... I'm more a splatt person these days! Blinkin heck, I need a lie down if I go on a longish hack on my mare It's down to you now and I know you will do a far better job than I could ever have done.

close your ears Jet! He's a sweety really, just a bit misunderstood, we'll i will try and keep up the good work with him, he hasnt been ridden for a while as he's still able to go out but as soon as field turns wet i'll ride him again, not sure about the hacking him out part yet though.

Hi Mrs P
No my friend has brought Kestral from Delia but he is on full livery at my yard and so lives happily alongside my dales ponies. We own Liz who is at Delia's on breeding loan (she is another daughter of Jet's) you may have seen her at the open day with Lucy her foal from this year.

Actually I'm sure Jet's a perfect ride for those a bit more limber and balanced than I am. I know for a fact it wouldn't upset me to be off, it would be my own fault, not Jet's...LOL, but I don't think it would take much for him to lose me either ;D

You are braver than me Debbie, not only would I need to be more limber/balanced etc to get on him again I would need to be completely raving rat a**ed DRUNK and then drugged and blindfolded too! I admire everyone concerned to give him another chance. I am sooo pleased he is getting to be called Jet and not Rambo. Rambo was the wrong name for him,I'm sure he would have been better off with a 'softer' stable name! He's a very lucky boy to have so many good friends!

You know as much as me mrsp that Jet isnt the easiest stallion and im not saying he'll ever be a saint but so far his behaviour has changed so much, when i first started at the stud working for delia he was in a cattle pen and you couldnt get near him, it took 2-3 people to do anything with him and now he loves the one to one attention, his fav is a good scratch on the whithers he nearly falls over as he enjoys it so much. you do have to watch the teeth because like any tipical teenage boy he like to put a quick one in when he thinks your not looking !

Yesterday Jet was ridden by the girl who comes up at weekends, he was ridden and trotted off the lunge just like a normal horse and he was very well behaved, i rode stallion Akehurst Heathers Lad, and he was extreamly good, this just proves that anyone can get on Jet now! and she wasnt drugged or drunk mrsp! he's grumpy when u put his bridle on but as soon as he's got his saddle on he's totally calm!! its like he remembers or he actually enjoy's it.
