Glad to see see that Jet is still doing well.
He has such a typical "Lowhouses" pony head - really apparent in Minnie's "old" photo !

wow Jet hasnt changed, he's still the same give or take a few grey hairs here or there but he is 20 this year so we'll let him off! At the moment he no-longer looks clean and shinny as has been out in field, decided he wants to be a bay stallion!! I'll see what adventures Jet and I can get up to this week! Do you know how old Jet is in that picture??

Thought he looked quite young, (no grey hairs) !! Is Jet related to max then in anyway? Do u know where Jet was in that picture? Just trying to work out where Jet has been and what he's done in his life

Poor Jets been lame for 2 days now, he's better today tho, one way to get out of being ridden! Think the poor old lad over done it in the field!

Would you mind if i didnt give him a hug!! because his teeth are still in perfect working order!! I lunged Jet today and he is sound again so back to work!!
Thanks minnie that explains most things, cant you ask jo ashby is max has been transfered since he was sold? although without his papers ect cant prove anything!
It would be interesting to know how Jet was when Andrea had him? behaviour wise ect

Thats not good, when that happens the seller doesnt care who buys the pony aslong as they get the money there owed, but im sure max's happy and well looked after, you need to do like an advert "does anyone own this pony" with a desciption and see what happens from there

Poor Jets been lame for 2 days now, he's better today tho, one way to get out of being ridden! Think the poor old lad over done it in the field! He is a dollop!!! Hope all is well now and I'll be down to see him as soon as I can. Still can't get my head round the way he is behaving- did you see the pics I have of him as a younger man? If not I'll bringthem over. |

Minnie i found alot out about Jets past, Jet came to Akehurst Stud in 1992 to cover Delia's mares, then in 93 - 94 he went to Andrea Stubbings, then he went back home and covered one in 94 and one in 95, then NO MORE til he came back to Akehurst Stud in 2005 (after a 10year gap it just goes to show that 20 this year he is still capable of the job) and so far he's sired 8 Akehurst foals (mine included) plus 2 visiting mares that came and he's only got 1 due this year, this is only due to Akehurst Laddie didntn have any last year as he fractured his pelvis so had to share the girls out!!
Please do bring pic's, come and see Jet soon as it will be covering soon and he might revert back for a while.

He poss had a few more mare whilst in Sevenoaks but if he did they won't have been registered...... don't forget I think he had at least one out of Ebony (eurythmic star) I think Judy (has Dolly) owned her(?)na dthere was also a couple of gelding and another filly called Jane Eyre(prefix Arrowmist) I think she went to Scotland in the end buyt I have a photo of her at Hickstead..... Please do bring pic's, come and see Jet soon as it will be covering soon and he might revert back for a while. |
